White Willow is a monthly Canadian lifestyle box. The box is $35CAD a month with $8.50 shipping to Canada and $19.50 to the US. That ends up being just over $40 for all my American readers! Each month 4-5 full-sized and sample products will be included. Items included will range from beauty & personal care, fashion accessories, home decor accents, culinary delights, fine paper goods/stationary, technology gadgets and other lifestyle surprises.
A few more “first look” pictures that I normally post but I liked some of the details. The box itself is just plain white with the logo on it. It actually came in a brown box which was kind of nice, kept the white from getting grimy and dirty. The second picture is of the writing that was on the inside of the top of the box. It was nicely wrapped and definitely felt like opening a gift! My first thought when I looked at what was inside was that it looked so pretty! I couldn’t wait to dig in.
Organic Infused Basil Oil by La Tourangelle Artisan Oils (Non GMO)–This is organic fresh infused Basil Oil. As an aromatic dressing it can go great with sliced tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, grilled chicken and fish. You can also drizzle it over pasta, pizza or grilled bread. I’m not a huge fan of basil so I likely won’t use this. I have an idea of where it can go though.
Oil Serving Dish–You can just fill this dish with the above Basil Oil or any other oil of your choice. You can also put balsamic vinegar in it for dipping your bread. It’s a cute dish and it makes sense to include it along with the oil. I don’t really use any kind of oil for dipping so this will likely go where the oil goes.
These weren’t on the product card so I’m assuming they were just extras. With Easter being this month I love that they included a little goody. I will admit that these were gone before I was done going through the box and taking pictures. I have no shame.
Mudlark Memento Boxed Notes–There are 20 cards included in this box with 5 different styles along with 20 envelopes. They recommend using these for a quick greeting, thank you, lunch invitation or just a simple “hello”. The box can also be used on it’s own as a keepsake box or to hold your favorite recipes. I’m really torn because I have SO many cards from Happy Mail that I don’t know if I will ever use these. This would make a great gift, but I also don’t want to give up the box. Seriously, how gorgeous is that?!
Lindo Konjac Sponge–100% natural vegetable sponge that is made from konjac root which naturally balances the PH level of your skin. It’s ideal for all skin types and cleanses and moisturizes the skin naturally while gently exfoliating. You can either use it alone or with a cleanser. It’s hard when dry but gets soft and spongy when wet. It’s also biodegradable, compostable and microbial contamination free. I actually already have one of these but kind of suck at using it. I’ve been wanting to get better and maybe having a second one will actually give me more motivation to use it. We will see what happens.
I’m not completely sold on this box yet. I think it’s well put together and has a great mix of items. There definitely isn’t anything else like this in Canada. I was more impressed with the previous months than this month but I will definitely give this box a few more tries before I make my final decision. Even if items don’t work out for me I can see this being a great way of getting gifts to give to people for birthdays and Christmas.
