Memebox Etude House

Memebox  is a non-subscription Korean beauty and make up box that contains 4-7 full sized and deluxe products varying from makeup, skin care, and hair & body products. Superboxes are also available which cater to those looking for full-sized products. The Superboxes have a specific theme, and each item in that box is carefully selected to fit that theme. Prices vary and shipping is $6.99. If you purchase Value Sets then you also receive a free upgrade to express shipping.  Boxes sell out fast so you have to jump on them while you can. New boxes are being released regularly.

Etude House it a Korean company who specializes in beauty and makeup. Their products are effective and they offer 100% satisfaction. I’ve received a few products from Etude House in other boxes and so I was excited when they offered this Etude House box.

Etude House Face Conditioning Fixer ($12.00)–This spray cools, refreshes and moisturizes the skin while locking makeup in place. It’s infused with aloe vera and so it can also aid with soothing red or irritated skin. I’ve been using an item similar to this from a previous Memebox and am happy to have another one. This spray definitely makes your skin feel soft and feels very refreshing. I can’t speak to whether or not it helps with redness or irritation though. It has a slightly soap scent to it, but does smell good.

Etude House Play Therapy Sleeping Pack ($10.00)–This cream is made with a blend of pomegranate, mango seed butter and evening primrose as well as a rich collagen complex. It’s deeply nourishing and tightens up dry, sagging skin. I’m still weirded out by sleep masks. I toss and turn a lot of night so I just see my pillowcase getting cream all over it and being a mess in the morning. I don’t have time for that. I’m also surprised by the scent of this product, or rather, the lack of scent. With the pomegranate, mango and primrose, I would have expected a really sweet scent. I was surprised to find that it didn’t have much of a scent at all.

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream ($18.00)–Formulated with marine collagen and mucilage from baobab trees, this cream is a deeply moisturizing, gentle, and skin firming skin cream. You definitely have to pat your face dry with this product otherwise it stays with a wet sticky feel for a bit longer than I prefer. Once it’s dried it leaves the skin feeling soft and not at all sticky. They don’t at all acknowledge why there was two products included, so I was a bit confused. I’m thinking that maybe you apply the spray after using the cream, though I can’t be sure. I had looked at this product on the Etude House website to see if I could find out. They also have the products together, but only talk about the cream.

Etude House Belle Dress Pretty Look Shower Cologne ($8.00)–This cologne contains a blend of fruity sweetness, jasmine floral, refreshing green note, and warm musk scents. I don’t know how to explain the scent of this cologne, but it’s definitely nice and fresh smelling. It’s also a really cute container that suits the name well.

Etude House Brow Mascara ($7.00)–This is a non-smudging, long lasting brow mascara, containing allantoin, beeswax and carnauba wax which are rich in nutrition. I gifted this product over Christmas because I have no use for it.

Etude House Oh My Lash Mascara Top Coat ($5.00)–You can either use this alone and give yourself translucent and glossy lashes, or apply it over your mascara to give a non-smudging and long lasting finish to your lashes. I find this to be very intriguing product, it’s something I’ve never heard of. It’s a very gel like formula and applies well. When applied alone it does give your lashes a bit of a shine.

I was kind of neutral towards this box. With this being such a prominent brand in Korea, I think I expected some more exciting products, or something a bit more different. They did include a great variety of items as there weren’t any that serve the same purpose. I was able to gift the one item I would never use, and I’ll likely make my way through the rest of them, though I’m still undecided on the sleep pack.
