Memebox is a non-subscription Korean beauty and make up box that contains 4-7 full sized and deluxe products varying from makeup, skin care, and hair & body products. Superboxes are also available which cater to those looking for full-sized products. The Superboxes have a specific theme, and each item in that box is carefully selected to fit that theme. Prices vary and shipping is $6.99. If you purchase Value Sets then you also receive a free upgrade to express shipping. Boxes sell out fast so you have to jump on them while you can. New boxes are being released regularly.
CutiePieMarzia 2 is the second collaboration that Memebox has done with Marzia, who has a Youtube Channel called “CutePieMarzia”. This looked like a very full box so I was excited to dig in!
Sua Young Berristure Cream ($40.00)–This is a facial cream that is packed with various berry extracts and the Cos 5 Complex, delivering an instant replenishment to the skin. There are collagen capsules included that also help lock in moisture for a more elastic suppler complexion. This has a very thick gooey texture and doesn’t have much of a scent, I expected it to have a much stronger berry scent. It says that you can either apply this at the last stage of your skincare routine day and night, or it can be used as a wash off facial pack. It definitely absorbs into your skin but it does leave the skin feeling a bit sticky initially, though that seems to go away after a bit.
Skin Food Honey Pot Lip Balm ($8.00)–This is a honey textured lip balm that melts onto your lips and gives extra luminosity and volume to your lips. I love the fact that this comes in a mini honey pot and has a spatula for application. I expected it to have a more liquid texture but it was a bit more on the solid side. It would be hard to use your finger for application but the spatula isn’t good at getting an even amount. It does have a nice scent and goes on nicely though.
Purederm Nose Pore Strips Choco Cacao ($6.00)–This is a one-step pore care treatment specifically designed to unclog excess blackheads, whiteheads, dirt and oil that are clogging up your pores. The first thing I noticed when testing out this strip is that Choco is right. The small of chocolate greets you the moment you open the packaging. Nose strips are a product that I tend to use when I feel like pampering myself a bit. When I’m in one of those moods I definitely have no complaints about having the smell of chocolate this close to my nose. I always find it gross to see how much gunk comes off on these strips, but it came off easily and left my nose feeling soft and smooth.
Etude House Melting Summer Nails ($4.00)–Bead Ice cream is very popular in Korea right now and these nail beads took inspiration from that. All you do is paint your nails and drop some of these beads on top. I haven’t tested these out just yet, but I’m not sure how I feel about having something bumpy on my nails, I know lots of people enjoy putting little jewels on their nails though. I’ll likely test these out at some point just to see what all the craze is about.
Missha Lucid Nail Polish ($4.00)–This is a heavily pigmented nail lacquer. It also leaves behind a fragrant rosemary scent 3-5 minutes after application. I don’t know why my camera can never pick up polish colors properly but this is a really nice pink color. This polish went on quite thick and had a nice even application. I also really like that they included a nail polish in the box along with the nail beads. It dried fairly quickly but I wouldn’t say I noticed any distinct rosemary scent, but there was a slight non-nail polish scent.
Dearberry Ice Cream Hand Cream Green Tea ($7.00)–This cream penetrates the skin quickly to protect, moistrize and replenish dehydrated hands. This lotion doesn’t have much of a scent which, to me, was a good thing. I was a bit turned off initially when I read “green tea” because I often don’t like the scent, so I was happy that there wasn’t one.
EnSOAP Lollipops Natural Soap ($5.00)–This soap is 100% natural and each one is personally crafted. It is formulated with high concentrates of centella asiatica, hyaluronic acid and hydrogenated camellia oil. This is adorable. I don’t notice any distinct smell but I will definitely be using this, if not only because of the fact that it looks like a lollipop.
Pure Smile Honey Queen Cleansing Oil–This cleansing oil is formulated with real honey and acai berries. This cleanser can get rid of the most difficult eye and lip makeup without dehydrating or stimulating the skin. All you have to do is put some on your lips and eyes for 30 seconds and rinse off with lukewarm water. It’s not too often that I put makeup on, and really don’t own any products that are difficult to remove, so I haven’t been able to test this out yet.
This box basically addressed my reservations with the last box. I feel that this had a great variety of items, but also products that complimented each other.
