I was pretty intrigued right off the bat, it looked like there was a lot of different items and I was excited to dig in! Often there is one big item blocking the view of everything else but this time they seemed to be on the bottom.
Yogourmet Kefir–I really have no idea what this is. The directions on the back say to heat milk and let it cool, then dissolve this in lukewarm milk and add it to the other milk and mix well. Let it firm for 24 hours and then refrigerate it. This is way too much work for anything, I don’t see myself using these.
Bach Rescue Pastilles–This is said to help with stress. It contains star of Bethlehem for trauma and shock, clematis for not being present mentally, cherry plum for fear of mind giving away & anger, impatiens for irritability, and rock rose for frozen terror and panic. This sounds pretty intense and it says on the packaging to talk to a doctor before using. I think I’m going to stay away from this. I really don’t deal with any of these issues and it sounds like something I better not mess with.
Central Roast Nutberry Yogurt Blend–This is a combination of nuts, yogurt and fruit which is great to put on your yogurt or in your smoothie. It’s a good source of iron and fiber. This is a mix I might be able to have. Often I can’t eat them before of oats, which give me stomach issues, but this doesn’t seem to have that so that’s nice!
Smarty Pants–This sample pack has one side for men, one side for women. They are gmo-free, preservative free and gluten free. There are only two in each packet, which is just enough for one helping. It’s an all in one gummy that also has multivitamins, eco friendly omega 3, methylfolate, vitamin K2 and CoQ10. I don’t know what most of that means. I wasn’t a huge fan of this, the texture and flavor were both a bit weird. I’d probably stick to a different kind.
The Innate Life Rose Hair Elixir–You can use this on your hair when it’s dry, or wet before drying and styling it. It will make it shiny and smooth. I’m not a huge fan of the scent since I don’t care for roses, but I’m curious to see if it does it’s job. I’ll probably use it a bit, at least until the smell starts to bother me.
Urban Spa Foot File–You can use this dry or wet and soapy in the shower. It’s great for feet, hands, elbows and knees. I pretty much live in sandals during the warm months and as a result my feet get quite dry. This is definitely going to be handy for smoothing them out!
Dr. Bronner’s Toothpaste–This is an organic and fair trade toothpaste. I’m glad they included two packets, but I generally prefer to stick to a Crest/Colgate combination. These will likely go into my stash that I take on trips or camping.
Choice Organic Tea–This is organic, vegan and gluten free, though isn’t all tea? I’m not a tea drinker and I don’t think Ian likes green tea. This will likely go into my gifting box and find a new home.
Hungry Buddha Coconut Chips–These are gmo-free, gluten free, vegan and lactose free. They can be eaten on their own or added to a dish. I still don’t like coconut. I’m also one of few people who really haven’t gotten into the whole Sriracha craze. Ian wasn’t interested in these either.
Skinny Pop Popcorn–This popcorn is low in calories, gluten free, and non-GMO. I’ve actually been seeing this brand around for awhile but haven’t tried it yet since it’s a bit pricier. I was happy to see this in the box so that I could finally sample it. I do love popcorn!
Hemp Hearts–These are a good source of protein and omega 3. These were in every box a couple of months ago, I hope this doesn’t mean they are resurfacing again. I have about 10 packages of them and just haven’t gotten around to trying them yet, I do plan to though! They can be used in cereal, yogurt, smoothies or salad. I think I’ll eventually add them to my smoothie.
You probably noticed from my comments but this box was super underwhelming. It feels like it was missing something, though I’m not sure what exactly. I’ve actually put a pause on this box for now while I try out some other ones. I think I just want more variety, lately these boxes haven’t had a ton that I actually use/eat. I’m excited to see what else is out there!
