Juneberry Box June/July 2017

Juneberry is a bi-monthly Canadian subscription box, each having 4-5 different lifestyle items. The cost is $36.00CAD every two months, with free shipping to Canada and the United States. You can also pre-pay for 3 or 6 months which lowers the price. Since prices are in CAD, it’s even cheaper for all you American friends reading this! There is also a shop where you can purchase items from past boxes.

This month’s theme was “Summer Solstice”. The included information card didn’t give any indication of their meaning for the theme, or how the items fit into it. Sometimes Juneberry Box includes that, sometimes they don’t. I really wish it was more consistent. I’d love to know their thoughts behind the items and why they chose to include them for the theme!

The Goods

We All Scream for Ice Cream Face Cloth ($5.99) – What’s more summery than ice cream? This is really fun packaging, unfortunately, it makes me not want to open the cloth to use it! I might save this for a bit and see if I can use it for a gift at some point, it’s just too cute!

Fly Freely Butterfly Necklace ($11.99) – Love this, it will be totally cute with the right outfit! I’m not a fan of gold but love the more bronzey tone of this. It’s a great length, though the butterfly is a bit big. I’d probably wear this with a plain top so that it would allow this to be the statement piece of the outfit. Really pretty detailing on the wings!

All-Natural Vanilla Coconut Lip Balm ($11.99) – There isn’t any packaging on these so I have no idea what’s in them or what brand they are. They do smell great and apply really nice though. I love that two were included since it is a bit of a smaller item. I know a lot of people are careful with their ingredients though, so that might cause an issue for some subscribers.

Fruity Summer Coin Purse ($6.99) – I love the watermelon pattern on this! This would be a great item to throw into your beach bag or purse. Nice option if you don’t want to take your entire wallet with you.

Summer Blossoms Sunglasses ($11.99) – I want to start off by saying that I HATE getting sunglasses in boxes. The only reason I feel this way is because I have been wearing prescription glasses for more than half my life, and I have one pair of prescription sunglasses. I don’t usually bother with contacts so regular sunglasses are rendered fairly useless.

The biggest issue now is that I’m totally obsessed with these sunglasses. They are so legit. They fit great and actually have a pretty good weight to them so they don’t feel remotely cheap. I like the gold part connecting the two sides, it’s unique how it doesn’t actually have a nose piece. I will have to pick up some contacts because I really want to wear these glasses. They are 100% my style.

Final Thoughts

This was a great month for Juneberry Box. It used to be a fairly hit-or-miss box but it’s been way more hits lately. The only thing I wish they would change is to have a bit more information on their info card. I’d love to know brands of items, or even just why they picked a specific item for any given theme.
