FabFitFun(referral link) is one of the newest boxes in the Canadian subscription box scene. Every three months you receive a seasonal gift box filled with items that full under the “Fab” “Fit” and “Fun” categories. The cost is $49.99 a quarter with $8 shipping to Canada (which is a really good price!). At the end of this review will also be some great coupon codes if you chose to purchase this box!
I was beyond excited when I found out that this box had started shipping to Canada. I had been lucky enough to receive their Spring box thanks to one of my favourite bloggers. Based on receiving that I knew that I couldn’t miss this box. I started stalking my tracking number the minute I received it but it never updated. I was hoping it was just a glitch until I started seeing other Canadians receive it. I contacted them right away and heard from back from them within a day. There had been an issue with my box and it never actually shipped. They immediately got another one sent to me and I received it in just over a week, which is very quick!
I love when you receive a box and you know immediately which company it is from.
First glance was a good impression. I always give kudos to companies when their items come nicely packed like this. Especially when you are shipping across the border things can easily happen, especially when it comes to customs.
This clutch/makeup bag is by the company “Thursday Friday” and the one I received was the “Jeweled Away Clutch.” From what I have heard there were about 6 different variations of this clutch and they were each valued at $35. Each bag is canvas and featured a design that was inspired by other iconic purse brands. Also included was a $30 off card for their website. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to use it or not.
The next item is a Sonya Dakar Flash Facial that is valued at $95. I’m pretty excited to have this. This is one reason I love subscription boxes. You get items way beyond the cost of what you paid. I’ve heard a lot of good things about this product and it’s easy to use. You only need to leave it on for 1-2 minutes to have instant results. This will be nice and quick to use in the morning as I’m getting ready.
Balanced Guru No Frizz Oil was the next item I pulled out. I’ve been wanting to try more products like this, but haven’t wanted to go to the store to buy them. I have really thick hair and in this humidity, it has been driving me crazy, it’s very hard to keep it nice and smooth looking. This is going to be a great product to help with that.
Ah, Pur-Lisse. This is the item that is popping up everywhere. I have been using a small sample of it that I received in another subscription box. I have really been liking it. It’s great that it has SPF and has been leaving my skin feeling soft.
I was SO excited about this bottle. It’s a water infuser bottle and I have been wanting one for quite some time. I drink tons of water a day (around the 5L mark on an average day), and I really like having added taste sometimes. I don’t often add fruit to my other bottles, with the exception of lemons. I don’t care for most fruit to just be floating around in my bottle though. I’m looking forward to using this next week while at work and playing around with different fruits and flavors. It also says “Grab life by the exercise balls” along the bottom.
I don’t know why my camera insists on changing pink colours into orange. This Zoya polish is called “Maya” and is a beautiful light pink/coral colour.
Kisstixx is a brand of lip balm that was featured on Shark Tank. The idea is that you put on one flavour and your partner puts on the other. Kiss. Mix. Enjoy. That’s their tagline. It says on the packaging “Simply smooch to unlock a mind-blowing flavour combination and experience a kiss.” The flavours I received are strawberry and chocolate. And you better believe that I will be putting this to the test! Also included with that was a 25% off coupon code if you decided to order more.
Popchips. These are just amazing. I’ve had them a few times and was thrilled to find them in this box. I was a bit concerned when I first found out about them being in the box because I’m picky about my chip flavours. I don’t need to be getting any of that Sour Cream & Onion stuff, though my husband would have been more than happy to take them off my hands. Thankfully I ended up with Salt & Vinegar. The only flavour that could have been better would have been Ketchup!
The last three items included were sponsored items. There seemed to be a lot of outrage that these were included, I don’t really understand that. They are three low cost items that didn’t take away from the value of the box. In fact, since they were sponsored items, they actually add value. Including items like this is the reason they can afford to charge only $49.99 and have a total of $245 value. I’m not going to be complaining about that. I will also use all of these items. I’ve never had anything Slim Fast but a “Have Your Cake” flavored bar? Yes please! The pads will be used, and of course the shaving cream will be used (well during the summer anyway..).
I’m extremely pleased with this box. There isn’t a single item that I won’t put to use. The value is well beyond what I paid for it and I’m already excited to see what will come in the fall box.
If anyone is interested in signing up for this box, there are still some available. You will receive the exact items shown with perhaps some pattern/ flavour variation. For the first three people who want to sign up if you use the code “2107934” you will save $15 off the total cost. There is no denying that is a great deal. If that code doesn’t work you can also use “REVEAL5” to save $5. I definitely recommend signing up for this box!
