FabFitFun Welcome Box 2014

FabFitFun(referral link) is a quarterly subscription box. Every three months you receive a seasonal gift box filled with items that fall under the “Fab” “Fit” and “Fun” categories. The cost is $49.99 a quarter with $8 shipping to Canada (which is a really good price!). You can read about the winter spoilers here and you are still able to purchase one. There is also a coupon code in the other post.

FabFitFun recently released a “Welcome Box”. This box was considered to be a “best of” from the previous seasons. I was excited to sign up for this because they have only been shipping to Canada for two boxes. Upon first look, I instantly recognized the items from the two boxes that I had already received, which was a bit disappointing.

Mary’s Gone Crackers (sponsored)–These are healthy, vegan, organic, non-GMO, whole grain and kosher crackers. These contain superfoods like brown rice, flax, quinoa, and sesame. I received some spicy pretzels from this brand in the last box and they were not for me. I’m not the biggest fan of foods that taste really healthy. I don’t intend on trying these and will see if my husband has any desire to.

Sonya Dakar Flash Facial ($95.00)–This product was developed by Gwyneth Paltrow’s facialist and it’s said to be a miracle. It takes only 60 seconds to reveal softer, plumper and younger-looking skin. It has antioxidants and hyaluronic and lactic acids. This was from the summer box and I used mine for a little while, typically using it first thing in the morning. I have since switched to using facial cleansers from Memeboxes so I haven’t used it for quite awhile. I will likely end up either gifting this or trading/selling it.

FiitFusion 3-month digital subscription (29.97)–This is a digital platform that has tons of premium fitness videos from different famous trainers. You can get access to all sorts of different workouts like yoga, Pilates, HIIT, boot camp, dance videos etc. This was in the fall box and I haven’t used it yet. With the cold and snow being here now though it would be nice to have a work out that I can do at home in the mornings rather than having to drive to the gym.

pur lisse pur protect SPF 30 ($55)–This was from the summer box and I have also received sample sizes from many different boxes. The plus side to this? I love it. I use it every morning and am happy to have another. It’s not something that I would ever buy because of the cost so it’s nice to have a stockpile on hand.

Balance Guru No Frizz Oil ($13.00)–This product has a blend of argan, jojoba and tamanu oils that help control flyaways and nourish your hair. This was from the summer box, I believe, and I ended up gifting it to a friend. I don’t really have an issue with frizzy hair, and I really didn’t care for the smell of this product. I’m quite strict on the idea that only things that smell good go into my hair. I’ll either gift/sell/trade this one as well.

Skintimate Shave Gel sponsored ($1.99)–This shave gel leaves your legs feeling healthy and beautiful. This is another product that I have already received and have yet to use the first. That’s nothing against the product though, that’s just because I really don’t shave my legs often enough to get through the hoard of shaving gel I have (sorry, TMI?). I definitely will eventually get to this though, but with winter being here now it will likely be a bit longer.

KISSTIXX Lip Balm ($5.99)–The idea of this is that you use one flavour and your kissing partner uses the other. They are compatible flavours that mix well when kissing. Last time I received Strawberry & Chocolate which were very overpowering flavours. I was happy to receive Peaches & Cream because I love those flavours, and they aren’t nearly as overpowering.

Jessie Steele Apron ($30.00)–This is a full apron with adjustable ties around the waist and neck. I was really hoping for the pink with gold dots but this is a really cute pattern as well. They had only a few designs before and seems to bring in a lot more for the welcome box. With all the ones I saw, I’m definitely happy with what I ended up with!

Zoya Nail Polish ($9.00)–This is a long-wearing formula that is vegan-friendly, safe for use during pregnancy and the longest wearing natural nail polish on the market. I received this exact colour previously and have already used it once. I was happy with how the colour turned out and how long it lasted. Since this is the same colour I will probably end up gifting this.

Great Soles Pink Ribbon Ballet Barre Ped ($12.00)–These ballet-inspired socks will keep you from slipping while doing your workout. I used these a while ago after getting them in my last box. They were great to use during Richard Simon’s Sweatin’ to the Oldies! I’m happy to have another pair and will definitely use them.

I was happy but also disappointed with this box. It had a lot of great items and a lot of which I will definitely use, but I wish that there were some items from the Spring box as well since they weren’t shipping to Canada yet. A lot of these items will make good gifts so that counts for something around Christmas time. It seemed a lot like it was a way of them selling through the rest of their Fall boxes, with some Summer filler items to fill in the void. At a value of $251.95 I definitely got my moneys worth though.
