If you subscribe for a full year you will become a “select” member and will have the opportunity to specify which variation of a few specific items you would like to receive.
This box was stuffed full of Fall related goods! The box itself was designed by April Ho who is a graphic designer based out of Los Angeles. Colouring is all the rage right now so it was innovative of them to introduce that concept on their box rather than just a colouring page. The design is also in support of charity Pencils of Promise. It’s a global community that’s focused on increasing access to quality education for children in various developing countries. Over 350 schools have been built and over 33,000 students are able to attend in Ghana, Guatemala, Laos and Nicaragua.
Toesox–These are great for any fitness activity where you need to be barefoot but want something on your foot. You still have free range with your toes but have some protection on your feet. They have a grip on the bottom so it’s just like being barefoot! This is also a lot more hygienic. I’m excited about the concept behind these. I’m always wearing shoes when I go to the gym because I’m on treadmills or doing weights, but I can see this being great if I try Aerial Hoop again in the future, or many other types of fitness I may try. I can see myself using these at home too when I’m following videos like Richard Simmons Sweatin’ to the Oldies!
The BrowGal Eyebrow Gel–This gel works with pencils and powders to seal and protect your eyebrows. It’s water and sweat resistant, won’t flake and wears all day. It also has a clear undetectable finish. Sometimes I’m very grateful that I wear glasses all the time because I really don’t feel the need to care about my eyebrows. This will definitely go into my gifting box!
ModCloth Loch and Key Scarf–I love looking through everything that ModCloth has on their website, and it is neat to see them in a subscription box! There is a multitude of different ways you can wear this, and thankfully FFF outlines some of them in their product information booklet. With this being such a big scarf it can be a bit daunting at first (I still haven’t tried it) but who doesn’t want to go out in public looking stylish and being cozy while wearing a blanket? This one is a good neutral colour and will go with a ton.
The Coloring Book & Colored Pencils–Along with a box that can be coloured, they also included this colouring book and pencils. I have a few colouring books and tried to get into the idea behind it, but just can’t seem to. It’s just not the same as when I was little! I think I started 2 different pictures and just got bored with it. We will see if I eventually pick it up again!
Mullein & Sparrow French Lavender Body Oil–This hydrates, regenerates and is rich in antioxidants. It is formulated with the healing meditative scent of organic lavender essential oil from France to help calm you and your skin. You can use this in a bath or massage it directly onto your skin. I don’t love lavender as a general scent of things, but I think I’m going to get some use out of this one. I like the idea of pouring it into a bath for some added relaxation.
Skin Laundry Restoring Night Serum–This is an anti-ageing mega serum that helps to brighten dark spots, even skin tone and texture, tighten and boost collagen. It contains antioxidants, vitamins, amino acids and natural extracts. I’m excited to try this out. I usually just wash my face as the bare minimum so it might be good for me to add a bit more to that routine. It certainly can’t hurt!
Spongelle Bulgarian Rose Infused Buffer–This item was actually created specifically for the FFF box. It has a built-in body wash and is infused with extracts of yuzu, edelweiss and vetiver root to cleanse, exfoliate, massage and hydrate. The scent of this one is actually a bit too flowery for me, and I’m grateful that they packaged it in a Ziploc bag so that seemed to help the scent from getting on everything else. I think this will make a great gift for someone!
Pure Cosmetics Nude Collection–This palette features 12 neutral shades inspired by the nude eye look. They are blendable and contain no parabens, triclosan, silicone or fragrance. I actually have a palette quite similar to this already and haven’t used it yet. I also can’t remember the last time I actually put eye makeup on. I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to add this to my stash or possibly gift it. It has a lot of gorgeous shades and is totally usable. I like that it would work for a variety of different skin tones since there are so many options, and you can blend them together and there is a nice mix of shimmer and matte shades. Nice that it also includes a double-sided brush!
The Created Co. Tumbler–This is a 16oz to-go cup. I like the saying “Joy comes in the morning” and I think it’s great for people who take a coffee to get their mornings going. I don’t drink coffee and will very rarely have a hot beverage. Ian is the coffee fiend in the house and he seemed fairly happy when I told him this was now his!
Secret Outlast–I usually use Ladies Speed Stick but have tried the Secret gel a couple of times now. I’ve been impressed with how quickly it dries and it has a great scent. This was a sponsored item and I love that it’s practical and something I can definitely use!
Cottonelle Fresh Care Wipes–Another sponsored item and another win. These are flushable and alcohol-free. Part of me wishes it was a more convenient pack to carry in my purse, but I might put these in my car for those dire times when you just REALLY want to wipe your hands off.
I think my favourite thing about this box is that the items that I like, I REALLY like. The items that I don’t care for or aren’t well suited to me? They are so easy to gift. I never feel as though I’m stuck with something or that I didn’t get my value out of the box. I think my favourite item is probably the scarf, once I get around to actually trying to wear it. This box did well with sticking to a Fall theme and I can’t wait to see what happens with winter!
