First Look

As per usual, I’m loving the box this month. It’s got a great message and I love the mix of colors and patterns. First look in the box didn’t tell me much. There wasn’t any items that stood out to me.

The Goods

Cynthia Rowley Beauty Liquid Liner–This is a smudge proof liquid liner. The pen-style tip makes for ultra-precise application. I love the vibrancy of the blue! It’s super bright and goes on incredibly easy. Love this!

Briogeo Blossom & Bloom Volumizing Blow Dry Spray–This follicle-stimulating spray enhances hair’s thickness and encourages natural, healthy growth over time. It contains ginseng, biotin, B Vitamins and ginger root. It’s packed with an energizing blend of hair loving nutrients and maltodextrin, which is a natural sugar starch, that coats every strand of your hair to create a fuller appearance. You just spray it on before blow-drying, paying special attention to the roots. I must say, I’m actually quite impressed. I wasn’t expecting much with this, but my hair did seem to have more volume. It also felt softer and less frizzy.

POP Beauty POP Portfolio Eyeshadow Palette–Love these colors! I actually just bought a Mary Kay pallet that’s fairly similar, but It doesn’t have the gray. I’ll definitely use this!

100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream–This cream is turbo-charged with caffeine from coffee and green tea. It provides an instant pick-me-up for your eyes. It reduces the appearance of fine lines, dark circles and puffiness. Antioxidant-rich vitamins C and E and rosehip oil boost the anti-aging properties. It’s also made with all natural and organic ingredients! I have a lot of eye creams and don’t really use them all that often. I’ll probably gift this one.

BioRepublic Skincare Cucumber Breeze Soothing Fiber Mask Set–This soothing sheet mask contains natural cucumber extract, plumping plant collagen and healing vitamin E. The antioxidants and cooling powers of cucumber tighten pores, reduce the appearance of lines, and calm our stressed out complexions. I love getting masks, though one never seems like enough. This felt really cold on the face, and it was gooey. It’s hard to say rather it did anything, my face felt soft after but I’m not sure if it did more than that.

Final Thoughts

I was really happy with this month. Four of the items were complete wins. The fifth is a decent looking product, just not something that I really need at this time. I’m generally fairly happy with Birchbox, and this month was no exception. This was definitely a better month compared to a couple others I have gotten recently. I also like that there wasn’t any duplicate items, each product serves it’s own purpose.
