Love this box! I love the vibrancy of the pink and orange, and the chat bubbles are a fun addition. This is definitely a box that I’ll be keeping!
Like usual, it always surprises me how empty the box looks. I do prefer that over the filler that the other boxes use though. I also like how there are always two packages to open, first the box and then the mysterious smaller box. They say that even though February is typically a romance focused holiday, we also need to celebrate those people who cheer us on, calm us down, and make us laugh so hard that we cry.
Noir Long Wear Eyeliner–This waterproof, liquid liner is enriched with vitamin E and jojoba oil which gives it a very smooth texture. This seems like a great eyeliner. It’s black, but not super dark, and went on extremely smooth and easy. It’s a bit of a thicker line but looks really good.
Whish Three Whishes Body Butter–This organic body butter contains a trio of anti-oxidant moisturizers that nourishes skin and helps ward off sun damage. It consists of organic aloe, shea butter, and raspberry butter, which conquer dryness, organic seaweed extract that contains high levels of skin-firming peptides, and the organic rice bran oil which is a potent antioxidant that defeats free radicals and provides UV protection. It’s also pomegranate scented, which is nice, but extremely strong. It’s an excellent lotion though, it absorbs quickly without leaving my hands feeling wet or sticky, just extremely soft.
Mereadesso All-in-one Moisturizer–This is an aloe based gel that contains 16 botanical extracts, 8 enzymes and minerals, and over 20 antioxidants. The combination of caffeine, apple and cucumber extracts all contribute to a refreshing cooling and tightening sensation. It can also function as a makeup primer, toner and eye cream. A full size version of this can cost up to $120, so you know it has to be something good! At first I thought this was just a one time use packet, but it actually has a resealable closure in the back, which is awesome. I could never use a full packet in one go, so it’s nice that it can be kept tidy. I’ve used it for a few days, and definitely haven’t noticed any difference on my skin, not even a cooling or tightening sensation. I definitely wouldn’t spend the money on this product.
Cynthia Rowley Cream Lip Stain–This lip stain is vegan, cruelty-free and paraben-free. It offers the moisture and shine of a gloss, but with the long wear of a stain. I received this in Heartthrob which is a classic red. This is definitely a solid red, but it seems to go on a bit gooey. This definitely wouldn’t be a go to product of mine. It didn’t really feel like it dried ever, though the color was vibrant and the stain aspect was evident.
Color Club Art Duo Pen–This is a dual ended nail pen, with high-quality lacquer. There is a slender brush, and a pen point tip. For the slender brush you twist off the cap, for the pen style tip you pull off the cap. This is just really cool. It’s easy to add details using this. The color shows up perfect after just one swipe. The only downside is that it’s not often that I want lines and dots in black, typically I want a fun color.
I’m really loving Birchbox. I love the boxes they send, they are always really cute and ones I want to keep. I loved the variety of brands and items also. They seem like high quality products, and they are all items I will eventually use, even if I’m not the most excited by them. The only item I wasn’t the most impressed with was the lip stain, but that was completely outweighed by the others.
